Informed Manufacturer Launches Website

Informed Manufacturer Website Launch

The new Informed Manufacturer website includes robust search functionalities, detailed certified facility profiles and educational information related to banned substance testing and the certification process.

Global life sciences company, LGC, announced the launch of informed-manufacturer.com, the new website for its banned substance testing and certification programme Informed Manufacturer. Introduced earlier this year, Informed Manufacturer is a global quality assurance programme developed to minimise the risk of banned substance contamination in facilities that produce or supply sports nutrition products or ingredients.

The new website includes search functionality allowing users to find certified facilities by name, service offerings, product capabilities, or location. Included on the site is information related to the Informed Manufacturer certification process showcasing the rigorous four step process every certified facility undergoes. Users can also find educational materials such as white papers related to banned substance testing. These features highlight the global presence of the Informed Manufacturer programme and provide a showcase to the capabilities of the facilities carrying the certification.

Every facility location tested and certified by Informed Manufacturer has its own profile page. This profile page provides detailed information including an overview of the company, other quality certifications held, services, production capabilities, photos and video as well as contact information for the certified facility.

Nutrivo Informed Manufacturer Profile

“We are excited to share the Informed Manufacturer website with our customers and sports nutrition brands around the world,” said Paul Klinger, Business Development Director for LGC’s INFORMED programmes. “Informed-Manufacturer.com allows sports nutrition brands to easily find a certified facility that meets the production needs for their product, with the confidence it's been swab tested and robustly evaluated to minimise banned substance contamination risks."

Manufacturers and ingredient suppliers can certify their facilities in order to demonstrate their commitment to quality assurance to their customers. While no finished product testing is involved in Informed Manufacturer certification, use of a certified facility helps streamline Informed Sport or Informed Choice certification for products. All testing for Informed Manufacturer is conducted at LGC’s ISO 17025 accredited laboratories in Lexington, Kentucky and Fordham, United Kingdom.
